WSET Level 1 Award in Wines- Monday 23rd September 2019

This accredited qualification aims to provide basic product knowledge and skills in the service and retail of wine to prepare a person for success in their first job in hospitality or retail.

The course is also a good beginner's course for the wine enthusiast who wishes to be introduced in a structured way to understanding basic wine styles, storing and serving of wine as well as food and wine matching.

 

To gain the Level 1 qualification, candidates will be required to :

  • Complete the training program.
  • Successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 30 questions and a portfolio of tasting notes.

The Level 1 course includes:

  • Six hours of instruction, completed over one intensive-style day.
  • Tasting of an extensive selection of quality wines, including a broad range of local and international varieties and regions.
  • The official WSET study guide.
  • Coffee and tea, lunch from venue.
