Next WSET Level 2 (Swanbourne Cellars) Starts Tuesday 19th February 5.45pm. Evening classes, once a week for 8 weeks (Plus exam on 16th April)

Next WSET Level 1 One full day – Sunday 17th March  9am -5.15pm

Next WSET Level 3 (Perth CBD- City Cellar Door, Crnr Adelaide Terrace/Victoria Ave)  Starts Monday 18th February. Classes  Mon and Wed evenings for 8 weeks (Plus Vineyard Visit (date tbc) and Exam 15th April).

A Bootful of Wine- An in-depth look at The Wines of Italy- Swanbourne Cellars


ItalyWinesWk1This course is designed to introduce participants to the many and varied varieties and wine styles of Italy and to elaborate on their features and influences. The course will run for 4 weeks, and is well suited to WSET Level 2 and Level 3 graduates keen to expand their knowledge beyond the WSET syllabus. It also an ideal course for wine enthusiasts with some experience of Italian wine.

The Wines: You will enjoy an extensive wine tasting each week, including the better known wines of Barolo, Barbaresco, Chianti and Amarone. You will also have the opportunity to taste wines from the less familiar Franciacorta, Etna, Aglianico di Taurasi, Alto Adige, Sagrantino di Montefalco, Marsala and many many more (32 high quality wines in all.)

Course Dates: Four evenings sessions- Thursday 11th October to Thurs 1st November, 6pm- 8.15pm

Brendan is a medical practitioner who is passionate about wine and wine education. He is enrolled in the Master of Wine (MW) study program and has recently passed both the theory and tasting element to this rare and exalted qualification (Only his dissertation to go) . He spent two years living in Italy, where he developed a love of Italian wines and other European wine styles. He is an engaging presenter whose courses are fun, interactive and informative
